At Newton Grange we have a strong charitable ethos and enjoy both organising and supporting charity events.  Take a look at just some of the highlights in our track record…

Classic Cabaret: From London to Paris

The Rendezvous Hotel in Skipton was transformed in to a dramatic theatre set in April 2010 as 170 guests gathered to enjoy songs from London and Paris at Rachael Howard’s fundraising “Classic Cabaret”.  James Lark and the fabulous Lyric Production Company put together a tailor-made show to keep guests entertained the whole evening through.  The medley of music included well known songs ‘Lambeth Walk’, ‘In whatever time we have’ and ‘Come what may’.  A hearty meal of Yorkshire Pie and Peas was served, followed by a sumptuous chocolate fountain.  Guests were entertained the whole evening through, with Musical Bingo and a Charity Auction.  The evening raised funds to support the work of Project O in South Africa and MacMillan Cancer Care.  It was an amazing and memorable experience to see so many people gather together to support the fundraising efforts of the London to Paris Charity Bike Ride.

The Glo-Ball

Held in March 2009 at the Rendezvous Hotel in Skipton, we raised funds for COCO, Comrades of Children Overseas.  The theme of reaching out across the globe came alive as the room was decorated with globes, and we listed to the dynamic sounds of the Menwith Hill Gospel Choir.  Together with a Musical Charity Auction and some local prizes, we danced the night away to live music from the fabulous Skipton Band ‘Jumpstart’. 

Dancing in the Moonlight

A Black Tie Dinner Dance held in February 2006, for 200 people.  Funds were raised for the British Heart Foundation and Leukaemia Research in support of the Kilimanjaro Trek that Rachael was participating in that summer.  As guests travelled from far and near to Newton Hall Barn in Bank Newton, so we decorated the barn for a fabulous dinner.  Combined with live music, a charity auction, a fabulous home-cooked three course dinner with succulent hog roast, this was a magical night to remember.
