When you travel, do you look for something very different to home or something very similar?
At the end of the school holidays we found ourselves back in a favourite place we first went to several years ago. Returning this year, we felt so at home in the gloriously green, rolling landscapes on a working farm in the English Countryside and could relax straightaway, being away from our everyday commitments.
We swapped glorious Malhamdale (20 minutes away from our Bank Newton home) for being 20 minutes away from the Jurassic coastline, and that brought with it more dramatic landscapes (like home) but yet visually so very different. We adore the coastline with its hidden stories, fantastic geology and abundant fresh air. Just the kind of things to give us new inspiration, refreshment and the kind of 'pause' that we needed.
We first discovered this place through the fabulous Farm Stay network. Have you heard of it?
Newton Grange Farm is part of the fabulous network which includes off-the-beaten-track farm and countryside holiday accommodation, from self-catering cottages to B&B's and glamping.
We really recommend checking out Farm Stay if you're seeking out a place to stay away from the crowds and you love the countryside and rural life. Perhaps you're looking for a new place to call your home-from home, and maybe with Farm Stay - you might just find it.
