It was a great lambing season at Newton Grange Farm this spring, with fine weather (mostly) and a fantastic team of Veterinary students from Glasgow and Nottingham Universities. Some of the students even featured in our local newspaper, the Craven Herald - great to see, and very well done on all your hard work. The lambs are flourishing in the fields.

As Craven College students learn about what it's like to be a police officer or paramedic in the USA, undergraduates from the Big Apple are getting to grips with lambing in the Dales.
Veterinary students Jamie Hively from Idaho and Roy Smith from Alabama, are spending their placement at Newton Grange Farm in Bank Newton, helping out with the lambing.
The Glasgow University students have joined classmate Andrew Holmes, from Ontario in Canada, who is back on the farm for his second year.
Meanwhile, 23 Craven College students on the public service course have hopped across The Pond in return to see how their American cousins tackle policing, work as paramedics and serve as soldiers.
