Newton Grange Farmhouse holds a licence for civil marriages and civil partnerships. It is a delightful setting for an intimate ceremony.
Newton Grange Farmhouse is a Grade II listed property dating from the Georgian era. It is set in delightful gardens and surrounded by rolling farmland and drumlin hills, where our sheep flock graze. It is a unique and private setting for your civil ceremony.
The sweeping hallway at Newton Grange is licensed for civil ceremonies and can accommodate a maximum of 12 guests.
Additional guests are welcome to be in the gardens of Newton Grange or in the marquee during the ceremony. We recommend a site visit to discuss further.
Proceedings & the Registrar
The proceedings relating to the civil wedding ceremony should be organised through the Registration Service of North Yorkshire County Council. They can be contacted on 01609 780 780. We recommend contacting them at the earliest opportunity to check availability of your preferred date and time of ceremony, and the Registrar's costs.
Civil ceremonies can take place in Newton Grange Farmhouse on any day of the week, all year round. Saturday ceremonies are reserved for couples holding their marquee wedding reception on the farm during the marquee wedding season.
