Did you know that the Settle Carllisle Railway line can be easily accessed from Newton Grange Cottages?
Trains can be taken from the station in Gargrave Village (1.7 mile walk along the Pennine Way footpath, or 2 mile drive by road) to join the wonderful railway route from Settle.
Gargrave train station itself has a free public car park on the road towards Broughton from the village.
The Ribblehead Viaduct is a sight to behold, when travelling across the line. You could pick a destination beyond the viaduct in the Dales to visit, or travel all the way to Carlisle. There are some stunning views of Three Peaks country from the train line.
Highly recommended for a day out in Yorkshire.
